AFC Wimbledon's return to Plough Lane required a new stadium design taken through to planning consent before the project could move into procurement. From 2015 to 2017, Venue Architects was engaged as sub-consultants to Wilson Owens Owens to develop the scheme through RIBA Stage 3 and secure planning permission. The design was subsequently taken forward for procurement and delivery by KSS Architects. The commission reflects Venue Architects' role in shaping stadium projects through critical early design and consent stages, ahead of wider delivery teams.
